Congratulations to Ms. Mayette Gabrielle D. Manalo, for her research has been accepted for oral presentation at the 5th ASEAN Regional Union of Psychological Societies (ARUPS) Congress, to be held in The Chevrons, Singapore from 25-27 March 2015, and she will be representing LPU-Laguna to the said event. The ARUPS Congress 2015 themed “Professionalizing Psychology: Raising the Standards of Psychology for Nation Building” which is mainly about Psychology, Poverty, and Disaster Mitigation. This conference was said to “provide a platform for the sharing of research and ideas on how psychology can be developed, and how it can maintain its relevance in the development of the various countries and local communities in this region.” The title of her research is “The Relationship of Social Intelligence and Internet Attitudes among Employees” which is about on how their respondents defined social intelligence primarily based on social skills and interactions and measured its relation to internet attitudes based on four subscales – enjoyment, usefulness, anxiety, and self-efficacy.
