Library Services
- Current Awareness – The deans and faculty members are given the list of newly acquired books, audio visual materials and periodicals. The library also posts new acquisitions and other activities in the Library Webpage for information, bulletin board display, document delivery through e-mails and newsletter.
- Library Express Assistance (LEA) – a customer centered library services that provides personal assistance to users in pursuit of information searching and in the use of various reference sources, as well as answer library related queries.
- User Education – This service is conducted in various forms such as information literacy program, library orientation, and tours.
- Borrowing and Circulation – Books and audio materials are circulated accordingly to maximize the use of the collection.
- Inter-Library Services – Referral letters are given to students who want to research at other libraries.
- Wi-Fi Access – Students and faculty may use their personal gadget/s using Wi-Fi within the library premises.
- Online Public Access Catalog (OPAC) – For fast and easy access, library users may use online library catalog.
- Bibliographical References – Provide updated list of references of both print and non-print resources to the faculty
- Reference Services – Provide personal assistance and guidance on the use of library resources services and facilities.
- Promotional and Marketing Activities – Top library users, and social media.
VIRTUAL LIBRARY SERVICES
The library will provide online databases, FB page, Helpdesk, websites and through Learning Management System (LMS) and LPU Portal.
The following are the library services that can be offered to the students and faculty members:
- Online Reference Service – students can contact librarians through email – library@lpulaguna.edu.ph, or they can send messages through our Helpdesk, FB page and messenger.
- Literature Search – The librarians will help the student/s and faculty members locate possible articles on ejournals and eBooks for their topics by sending us a message through: library@lpulaguna.edu.ph
- Document delivery – the library in-charge can download the topics requested by the library users and it will be sent through email a pdf copy of eBooks and e-journal articles, or through messenger just message us for any assistance to library@lpulaguna.edu.ph
- Electronic Databases – The library (JPL Multimedia Resource Center) has an online paid subscription to electronic databases such as Scopus Science Direct and Gale Databases Academic OneFile, Press Reader and ProQuest.
