HOFEX is a leading food hospitality tradeshows in the region held in Hong Kong that can be participated by different exhibitors around the region. The school joined six categories namely wedding cake display, sustainable fish barramundi, live high tea set competition, Western Cuisine Lamb Loin, Chocolate Coffee Cake and Two to Tango. Out of six categories, the school won two medals. One is the 2nd highest gold in the wedding cake display participated by Jireh Rodriguez with Alyzza Bundalian as his understudy and Chef Abram Emmanuel Peralta as his coach. Second is the Highest Silver under the Sustainable Fish Barramundi that was participated by Myra Rose Famorcan with her understudy, Randy Nica Maligaya and Hannah Ramos together with their coaches, Chef Grace Martinez, Chef Abram Emmanuel Peralta and Chef Maxim Martinez.


Winning two out of six categories in an international event is a good start given that it is the first time that Lyceum of the Philippines University – Laguna has joined the event. It just proves how competitive the students are in the institution and how it trains and mold the skills and talents of the students as they expose it not only in various national competitions but also internationally.
