This initiative was designed to expand and enhance the community garden in Brgy. Camaligan, Calamba, Laguna, with a core focus on innovation, sustainability, and productivity. GROWSARI’s objectives centered on deeply involving local farmers in every facet of garden care—from planning and planting to maintenance and organization—and providing them with essential support and assistance.

The project outcomes have brought a vibrant transformation to the Brgy. Camaligan community garden. We ingeniously utilized recycled plastic wrappers and bottles to create “Sustainabricks” for durable plant boxes and repurposed plastic bottles into hanging nursery pots, showcasing resourceful innovation.

Beyond aesthetics, GROWSARI significantly boosted the garden’s utility by introducing a wider array of nutritious vegetables like okra and pechay, directly addressing the community’s food needs.
