The National Service Training Program (NSTP) 2 project, entitled “๐ ๐ฎ๐ธ๐ฒ ๐๐ ๐ ๐ฎ๐ธ๐ฒ ๐๐ฒ๐ป๐๐: ๐ฆ๐ต๐ฎ๐ฝ๐ถ๐ป๐ด ๐ ๐ผ๐ป๐ฒ๐-๐ช๐ถ๐๐ฒ ๐ ๐ถ๐ป๐ฑ๐ ๐ณ๐ผ๐ฟ ๐๐ถ๐ด๐ต๐ฒ๐ฟ ๐๐ฑ๐๐ฐ๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐๐ฐ๐ผ๐ป๐ผ๐บ๐ถ๐ฐ ๐๐บ๐ฝ๐ผ๐๐ฒ๐ฟ๐บ๐ฒ๐ป๐,” successfully conducted its project aimed at equipping senior high school students with the essential tools for financial stability and academic success. Spearheaded by the ๐ฝ๐๐๐๐๐ก๐ค๐ง ๐ค๐ ๐๐๐๐๐ฃ๐๐ ๐๐ฃ ๐ผ๐๐๐ค๐ช๐ฃ๐ฉ๐๐ฃ๐๐ฎ 1-1 (๐๐ง๐ค๐ช๐ฅ 2), the initiative sought to bridge the gap between current habits and future goals through a meaningful exchange of knowledge.
The seminar featured ๐๐ง. ๐
๐๐ข๐๐จ ๐๐ฎ๐๐ฃ ๐. ๐ผ๐ก๐ฏ๐ค๐ฃ๐, an alumnus of LPU-Laguna, who shared expertise on financial literacy and basic business planning, ๐๐ง. ๐๐๐ฅ๐๐๐๐ก ๐๐๐๐๐ก๐๐, a Marketing Associate at LPU-Laguna, who highlighted the vibrant community of LPU-Laguna and the exceptional opportunities waiting for future students, as well as ๐๐๐๐๐๐ฃ ๐พ๐๐จ๐ฉ๐๐ก๐ก๐ค and ๐๐๐ฃ๐ฃ๐๐ ๐๐ ๐๐๐ง๐, who provided additional valuable insights into navigating college preparations. To ensure that these lessons leave a lasting impact, the group distributed a ๐จ๐ฅ๐๐๐๐๐ก๐ก๐ฎ ๐๐ง๐๐๐ฉ๐๐ ๐๐๐ช๐๐๐ฉ๐๐ค๐ฃ๐๐ก ๐๐ค๐ค๐ ๐ก๐๐ฉ๐จ that serves as a handy guide for the students to revisit the seminarโs key takeaways. This booklet also features a built-in Ipon Challenge, designed to turn theory into practice and kickstart their journey toward disciplined saving.
The members of BSA 1-1 Group 2 are beyond proud to have witnessed the students of Sto. Tomas Senior High School shift from financial “guessing” to “knowing.” We believe that the bridge between where we are and where we want to be is built with the habits we do and form today. And it is our heartfelt hope that the knowledge shared and the resources provided will not just be lessons for today, but lifelong tools that students will actually use to navigate the financial demands of higher education and beyond.
By fostering intentional saving and informed decision-making, the initiative ensures that every student is better prepared to turn their aspirations into tangible success. This project stands as a testament to the power of early economic empowerment, ensuring that for every participant, their future goals will finally “make cents.”
