Course Overview

The Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology/ Bachelor of Science in Medical Laboratory Science is a four year course consisting of general education and professional courses. The fourth year level is the internship program of one year in a CHED- accredited training laboratory with rotational duties in different sections in the laboratory.

Program Educational Objectives

Three to five years after graduation, the Medical Laboratory Science alumni shall have:

  1. Occupied a key position in laboratory medicine, drove advancements in Medical Laboratory Science
    in the Philippines, established enterprises that prioritized quality service and upheld ethical
    standards, contributed significantly to the profession’s progress, and maintained its integrity
  2. Promoted the vital role of Medical Laboratory Scientists in community and research endeavors, and
    collaborated with allied health professionals to conduct innovative diagnostic examinations

At the time of graduation, the students shall be able to:

A. Apply knowledge of physical, social, natural, and health sciences and humanities in the practice of
medical laboratory science
B. Practice the profession in accordance with existing laws, legal, ethical, and moral principles
C. Work effectively in collaboration with inter-, intra-, and multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural teams
