Program Description:

The Bachelor of Science in International Travel and Tourism Management program, offered by the College of International Tourism and Hospitality Management (CITHM) at Lyceum of the Philippines Laguna, is a comprehensive and dynamic program designed to prepare students for exciting careers in the global travel and tourism industry. This program combines theoretical knowledge with practical skills, enabling students to thrive in various roles and contexts within the industry.BS International Travel and Tourism Management is a three-year degree program preparing students to become multiculturally diverse individuals equipped with knowledge and skills of standards and work-based values ready to brave the global tourism, travel, and hospitality workforce. Students are highly engaged to multiple facets of learning, in travel and tour operations, airline operations, events management, tourism planning and development, destination branding and tourism marketing, and business planning and research. Thus, the program does not only let them unlock opportunities to become professional leaders but rather mold them to become enterprising people bringing success to every organization and valuable contributors for the betterment of society.

Distinct Features of the Program

The Bachelor of Science in International Tourism Management program is a three-year degree program and has 2 specializations:

BS International Tourism Management with specialization in Aviation Services is a three-year degree program preparing students to become multiculturally diverse individuals equipped with knowledge and skills of standard and work-based values ready to brave the global tourism, travel, and hospitality workforce. Students are highly engaged to multiple facets of learning, specifically in the airline and airport operations. This highlights duties and responsibilities of a ground attendant including demonstration of check-in procedures, baggage, and cargo handling, airport announcement skills, and passenger handling. In addition, duties and responsibilities of a cabin crew including cabin equipment handling and facilitation of all cabin crew training related activities from inflight services to safety and emergency procedure.

BS International Tourism Management with specialization in Tour Operations and Hotel Services is a three-year degree program preparing students to become multiculturally diverse individuals equipped with knowledge and skills of standard and work-based values ready to brave the global tourism, travel, and hospitality workforce. Students are highly engaged to multiple facets of learning, in the travel and tour operations, hotel services, airline operations, events management, tourism planning and development, destination branding and tourism marketing, and business planning and research. Thus, the program does not only let them unlock opportunities to become professional leaders but rathe mold them to become enterprising people bringing success to every organization and valuable contributors for the betterment of society.

    • The program integrates principles from various fields, including tourism industry, and airline industry to equip students with a holistic understanding of aviation systems.

    • BS International Tourism Management is equip with different learning modality that focus through practicum in aviation industry, tourism enterprises in private and public sector, innovative research in tourism, international certification like Basic Essential and International Fares and Ticketing in Amadeus, Micros Opera System, AHA Certification, TESDA Certification and Industry Professional Forum workshop to help students gain practical exposure to real- world in tourism and aviation challenges, allowing them to apply their knowledge in a professional setting.

    • The program of Bachelor of Science in International Tourism Management is partnered with different industry that can provide industry driven program to the student which include the PTC Aviation Services, Luzon International Premiere Airport Development Corp. (LIPAD), Sky Aviation Learning Center Inc. (SALCI-PAGSS), and different types of international and local airlines in the Philippines.

    • The program of Bachelor of Science in International Tourism Management boasts a faculty of well-experienced for more than 5 years’ in the aviation services as an Flight Attendant, an airport ground manager, and a faculty who have also experience in the tourism industry which include licensed tour guide, a travel agency business owner and event specialist who are active in research and industry with masters and doctorate degree in tourism management that ensuring that students receive up-to-date knowledge and guidance.
