Scholarship and Grants
LPU-LAGUNA SCHOLARSHIP AND FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE GUIDELINES
The LPU-Laguna Scholarship and Financial Assistance Program is administered by the Scholarship Committee. The President appoints the chairman and members thereof.
General Guidelines:In consonance with JPL’s Philosophy of Education, LPU-Laguna awards scholarships and extends financial assistance to students who deserve access to quality education at both basic and tertiary education levels.
The following guidelines shall apply:
- No student can enjoy more than one discount privilege.
- No student can enjoy more than one scholarship privilege.
- No student can enjoy both a scholarship and financial assistance (internal and external); in such cases, the higher discount will apply.
- Any form of financial assistance from external sources shall not be affected by internal discounts and scholarships.
- The deadline for application for scholarships and discounts is until the second (2nd) week from the opening of classes.
The following academic scholarships are offered in pursuit of the vision of LPU-Laguna to be the center of academic excellence and to give financially deserving and capable youth access to quality education.
ACADEMIC SCHOLARSHIP
1. President Scholarship
PRIVILEGES:
- Free tuition, miscellaneous, regular laboratory, and other fees
- Monthly stipend of Php 2,000.00.
- Miscellaneous allowance of Php 2,400.00 every term.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be a Filipino citizen and a first-time college student with good moral character.
- Must have at least 95% average with no grade below 90%.
- Must pass the exams and interview.
- Bachelor of Science in Psychology
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering
- Bachelor of Science in Accountancy
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing
- Bachelor of Science in Radiologic Technology
- Bachelor of Science in Medical Laboratory Science
- Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy
- Bachelor of Science in Accountancy
2. LPU Gateway Scholars Program
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be a Filipino citizen and a first-time college student with good moral character.
- Must have at least 95% average with no grade below 90%.
- Must pass the exams and interview.
- 100% Tuition Fee Coverage.
- Must have at least 95% general average with no grade below 90%.
- 75% Tuition Fee Coverage.
- Must have at least 93% general average with no grade below 88%.
- 50% Tuition Fee Coverage.
- Must have at least 90% general average with no grade below 88%.
- 25% Tuition Fee Coverage.
- Must have at least 90% general average with no grade below 85%.
3. Resident Scholarship
1. Grade Requirement:
- 100% Tuition Fee Discount: 1.50 GWA with no grade lower than 1.50
- 50% Tuition Fee Discount: 1.60 GWA with no grade lower than 1.75
- 35% Tuition Fee Discount: 1.75 GWA with no grade lower than 1.75
- 50% Tuition Fee Discount: 1.50 GWA with no grade lower than 1.50
- 35% Tuition Fee Discount: 1.60 GWA with no grade lower than 1.75
ENTRANCE SCHOLARSHIP
- Must be first, second, or third in rank among the graduating class as certified by the senior high school principal.
- Must come from a graduating class of 30 or more.
- Must be applying for college for the first time.
- Must pass the LPU-Laguna admission requirements.
- Must be a Filipino citizen.
Rank 1 100% Discount on Tuition Fees – 10 slots
Rank 2 50% Discount on Tuition Fees – 20 slots
Rank 3 35% Discount on Tuition Fees – 30 slots
TOTAL SLOTS: 60
NOTE: Combined slot allocation for LPU-Laguna and LPU-St. Cabrini
Below are the conditions for the renewal of the entrance scholarship:
- Meet the grade requirements according to the table below:

| 35% | 1.75 GWA with no grade lower than 1.75 |
- Avoid incurring a final grade of INC in any course, which is a ground for automatic disqualification.
- Stay in the program for which the scholarship was granted.
- Enroll in the approved load (regular load) as prescribed in the curriculum of the program.
- Avoid dropping any course throughout the period of the scholarship.
- Avoid committing any serious and very serious offense as provided for in the Student Handbook.

1. Grade Requirement:
- 100% Tuition Fee Discount: 1.50 GWA with no grade lower than 1.50
- 50% Tuition Fee Discount: 1.60 GWA with no grade lower than 1.75
- 35% Tuition Fee Discount: 1.75 GWA with no grade lower than 1.75
- 50% Tuition Fee Discount: 1.50 GWA with no grade lower than 1.50
- 35% Tuition Fee Discount: 1.60 GWA with no grade lower than 1.75
- The grant will only be given to regular students (with a regular load as prescribed in the curriculum) who have stayed in LPU Laguna for at least two trimesters.
- All students who meet the above grade requirements shall be included in the ranking.
- Ranking will be done by program irrespective of the year level of the student.
- The 100% TF discount will only be awarded to the Top 1 of each board program, provided he/she meets the grade requirement. The remaining slots will be given 50% or 35% TF discount for one term according to slots allocated.
- Anyone who incurs an INC in any course will automatically be disqualified from the scholarship ranking.
- In the event of a tie in GWA, the GWA of the previous term will be included in the ranking system. The next basis for breaking the tie will be family income.
- Since ranking will be done based on weighted averages, application for the resident scholarship is no longer required. The Registrar’s Office shall announce the qualified scholars before the first major exam.
- Avoid dropping any course throughout the period of the scholarship.
- Avoid committing any serious and very serious offense as provided for in the Student Handbook.

DISCOUNTS AND FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE
Granted to children or siblings of alumni who graduated from any LPU campus (LPU Manila, LPU-Batangas, LPU-Cavite, LPU Davao, LPU-Laguna, and LPU-St. Cabrini School of Health Sciences, Inc.).
Applicants must present a Certified True Copy of the diploma of the alumnus and the PSA Birth Certificate of the same.
Granted to students whose siblings are enrolled in any LPU campus during the same term/year.
Applicants must present updated registration forms and the PSA Birth Certificates of both students.

Applicants must present a Certificate of Employment of their parent who is employed in a Partner Company.
Awarded to students with disabilities (As mandated by RA10754) upon presentation of the official PWD Identification Card.
A Php 5,000.00 loyalty discount on their 1st trimester will be given to a freshman student who completed Grades 7 to 12 at the LPU Laguna High School Department.
A 10% discount on tuition fee (TF) on their 1st Trimester of enrollment only.
Refers to the scholarship and financial assistance which are funded by various local philanthropists, alumni, government, and non government agencies.
