CALABARZON Youth Leaders Association (CYLA) is an organization of student leaders all over CALABARZON that seek to implement programs, projects and activities to become the key player in mobilizing support for the mission and vision of Sotero H.Laurel Leadership Center (SHLC) and its specific objectives are: • Provides opportunity for leadership trainings, especially those that are relevant to the need of the province, the region and the country as whole; • Remain in contact with outstanding leaders especially those who espouse the youth sector; and • Be able to serve respective student constituencies in promoting the ideals of responsible, involved and service-oriented leadership. The election for the new set of officers of the CALABARZON Youth Leaders Association was held at the LPU-Laguna Conference room on November 10, 2014. Honey Grace Gonzaga is designated as the new Chairman of the CYLA. She is responsible for the overall operation of the organization with the help of the following elected officers: Vice Chairman: Internal: Erikka V. Pimentel (LPU-Laguna) External: Marley Robles (LPU-Batangas) Finance: Jhennalyn Altejos (LPU-Laguna) Audit: Enzo Pareño (LPU-Cavite) Public Relations: Mark Balba (LPU-Batangas) Brent Narvaez (NTC-Tanauan) Community Extension: Jam De Leon (NTC-Tanauan) Aaron Alcantara (NTC-Tanauan) Chapter Heads: BATANGAS – JayR De Torres (LPU-Batangas) CAVITE – John Paule Ramos (NTC-Tanauan) LAGUNA – Fitz Refugia (NTC-Tanauan) QUEZON – Jay-R Villar (Tanauan City College) RIZAL – Derrick Ordoñes (LPU-Cavite) During the Election, the Board maintain the law and order and ensuring the peaceful conduct of a free and fair election. The Board also decided to ratify or amend their Constitution and By-Laws from the suggestions and recommendations of the elected officers.
