Freshmen, upperclassmen and alumni got wet and crazy in a hydro party with different bands playing their music in the background. A wave of fun, color and music surrounded LPU-Laguna’s open field as Pirates’ Day has welcomed the new breed of Lyceans last July 26.
The theme, Sulong Pirata, signals the start of students’ journey to another academic year. It is a battle cry for Pirates as we face different challenges in our college life.

Not only sulong to face the waves but sulong sa mga darating na challenges sa college.” said Michael Algozo, LSSC President.

BAND WITH A BANG. Barrio Berde steal the scene with their great set list and wonderful performance.
IT’S A YES. A romantic act was witnessed by Lyceans as Giovanni Tablizo of Barrio Berde proposed to his now girlfriend Shania Payawa.
Party like there’s no tomorrow was the mantra of the three bands that performed in the event. Eat & Run from the University Of Santo Tomas (UST) played their music that set the tone of the rave. Barrio Berde did not only steal the scene with their performance but also with a romantic proposal of the band’s guitarist, Giovanni Tablizo, to his now girlfriend, Shania Payawa. The last band, Sinchros, did not disappoint the Lyceans with their great set list.
ON POINT. LPU PiratesDance Troupe performed a graceful routine.

PARTY MASTER. DJ Cathy Frey led the party with her great skill as a DJ!
As the cherry on top, DJ Cathy Frey dropped the beat to keep the hydro party going making everyone exuberant.

Sulong Pirata was organized by Lyceum Supreme Student Council, LPU-SC Student Council and LPU Laguna Alumni Association.
